Ministry with Inner City Impact

In the summer of 2011, I interned with Inner City Impact, an organization that works with kids K-12 in the inner city of Chicago. I quickly grew to love the students I worked with and continued as a volunteer during my senior year at Moody Bible Institute. After graduation, God led me to join ICI as a full time missionary and I am now a Jr. High Discipler in our Logan Square location!

Inner City Impact has brought hope to kids in Chicago for over 40 years. Our mission is to present the living Christ primarily to unchurched inner city children and youth, and to disciple and integrate them into a local church. We do this through after-school clubs, mentoring relationships, Bible studies, sports programs, and leadership training.

Life-on-life discipleship is what I love most. And making the most of every opportunity to speak at least part of the gospel into their lives. I delight in pointing others to Christ. It's amazing how showing intentional interest and love in a girl's life can bring down barriers - my caring for her points to Christ.

I have been full-time as of May 2014 and am loving it! I am always learning something new, whether about ministry, urban culture, or myself. I am constantly in a state of dependence on God.

Would you like to learn more? I would love to sit down and share with you!

Giving.
There are two main ways to give: special gifts and recurring gifts. Special gifts are a great help in financing start-up expenses, projects, and covering any deficit due to low support. Ongoing gifts (monthly, quarterly, annually) enable me to start and continue full-time in the ministry with ICI.

If you would like to give, you can do so online here or send a check made out to Inner City Impact to
3327 W Fullerton Ave.
Chicago, IL 60647
Please note that it is for Cristina Hunter.
Thank you!
